Transfer Applicants

If you are transferring to Unicorn College from another university, you will undergo an admission interview like any other applicant. The purpose of this interview is primarily to determine your motivation and expectations with respect to your education and to identify your level of English. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to request recognition of the subjects that you completed at your previous university.

Transferring Course Credits from Another University

  • We usually transfer course credits for courses in which the student received a grade of either 1 or 2 (or even 3 in exceptional cases), or a corresponding grade at the previous university, and that were completed no more than five years ago.
  • The decision on which course credits are transferred is made by the Head of the Department
  • All information on transferring course credits is provided by the Students Affairs Department.

Course of the Interview

The applicant will be asked to introduce himself or herself in English and to outline his or her expectations regarding their studies. This is followed by a free discussion in Czech about the discipline the applicant wishes to study with the aim of finding out the applicant’s basic knowledge of the discipline.

What should you bring to the interview?

  • citizen’s identity card
  • general education certificate or a copy authenticated by a notary
  • a document evidencing payment of the application fee (this can be paid on site on the day of the interview)
