Communication and Presentation Skills
Aims of Communication and presentation skills course:
Greater confidence when giving speeches and presentations
New techniques to enhance existing presentation skills
The opportunity to practise and assess current strengths and presentation skills
The ability to use and control voice more effectively when giving presentations
What are you going to learn
The set-up of presentation - To understand what is the aim of the presentation, how to make an entrance, how to set the tone of the presentation, non verbal communication and proxemics, disposition of the room, planning breaks, rehearsals.
Oral skills & Multimedia tools - To understand what is the communication, paralingual tips, English linguistics exercises, difference in presentation for native speakers and foreigners speaking English, use of tepmlate, load of information, handout.
Cross cultural tips & Ending a presentation - What is the maening of the presentation, non-verbal communication across culture, How to handle datails, what to do with questions, common mistakes, Feedback.
Final Presentation - Students are presenting a full presentation using exercises of the previous workshop. The presenttion is dilmed and later analysed.
How the course is organized
Full time study
The course consists of 10 workshops, each lasting 1,5 hours.
Part time study
The course is taught in 3 tutorials, each lasting 3 hours.
